Application Guidelines

JALS Family Foundation Areas of Focus:

  • Youth Development

  • Inequality

  • Rehabilitation

  • Mental Health

  • Nature & Wildlife

  • Current Pressing Needs (Crisis Needs)

JALS Family Foundation does not provide grants for the following:

  • Political / Lobbying Initiatives

  • Fundraising Galas

  • Conference Attendance or Travel

Grant Submission
 

Organizations must provide the following:

  • A detailed Cover Letter:

    • Specify how your mission aligns with our Area(s) of Focus. 

    • Include a specific request ($2,500 - $10,000) 

    • Outline how the grant amount will be applied to the organization’s work.

  • A Financial Audit:

    • Cover most recent two years of the organization’s operations.

  • An Impact Report: 

    • Illustrate mission-oriented results from the most recent year.

Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.

Review Process

JALS Family Foundation accepts grant requests over three cycles.

Cycle 1: Submissions received after January 1 will be considered at the March meeting of our Board of Trustees.

Cycle 2: Submissions received after March 15 will be considered at the July meeting of our Board of Trustees.

Cycle 3: Submissions received after July 1 will be considered at the November meeting of our Board of Trustees.

  • If the proposal aligns within the interests of the Foundation, you will be contacted to schedule a virtual introduction meeting in order to learn more about the organization. 
     

  • ​Upon further review, the board of trustees will decide the final amount based on the detail of the request and the priorities of the foundation.​
