JALS Family Foundation does not provide grants for the following:

Political / Lobbying Initiatives
-
Fundraising Galas
-
Conference Attendance or Travel
Grant Submission
Organizations must provide the following:
-
A detailed Cover Letter:
-
Specify how your mission aligns with our Area(s) of Focus.

Include a specific request ($2,500 - $10,000)
-
Outline how the grant amount will be applied to the organization’s work.

A Financial Audit:
-
Cover most recent two years of the organization’s operations.
-

An Impact Report:
-
Illustrate mission-oriented results from the most recent year.
-
Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.
Review Process
JALS Family Foundation accepts grant requests over three cycles.
Cycle 1: Submissions received after January 1 will be considered at the March meeting of our Board of Trustees.
Cycle 2: Submissions received after March 15 will be considered at the July meeting of our Board of Trustees.
Cycle 3: Submissions received after July 1 will be considered at the November meeting of our Board of Trustees.

If the proposal aligns within the interests of the Foundation, you will be contacted to schedule a virtual introduction meeting in order to learn more about the organization.

Upon further review, the board of trustees will decide the final amount based on the detail of the request and the priorities of the foundation.
